Default What year and model?

Anybody know which year and tractor the Cub Cadet triple C emblem was on the grill between the headlights. I have searched an haven't found anything concrete. I can't find one on a parts list for any tractor.

My old 882 I used to have had one. 1984. My 1512 had one as well. It was a later one, 1986 maybe? Neither super, 1572 or 1772, had them. Hope this helps.

It seems the early CCC tractors had them. I don't think they were ever on a super.

My Y/W 782 (706xxx) has one

Edit: I parted a 1710, ('85 I think) didn't have one

Dad's 1811 doesn't have one on the grill but pretty sure the back fender does (CCC decal)
I have an 1811 to part that didn't have either

My yellow and white 982 (986) Super has the triple C emblem. The build date was 1983 but I don't remember what month. It still had the cast iron rear so I'm thinking it was fairly early in '83.

Todd I have owned over 25 steel nose supers not one ever had one. I wonder if some one added it to yours over the years. I can't find one listed on any parts list. Looks good on yours though.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
