Replacement Sheaves for NF Deck
I have a 48 inch mower deck for a narrow frame which I hope to put into service for next year. As you can see, the sheaves are in tough shape. I don't care about having the "correct" sheaves, just something that will work well.
I was looking on Ebay, and I saw some cast aluminum sheaves. They have the right specs, but I'm wondering if these sheaves will hold up on a mower deck. either that, or maybe somebody knows a source for some steel sheaves that will work. The ones I need are 4" diameter, have a 3/4" bore and a 1/2" groove, but you knew that already.  Thanks, Paul

As far as I know, they are still available new.... but without a deck model number... I can't say for sure. What exactly are you working on??
I don't think aluminum would hold up very well. I would think they would wear out pretty quick.
