I have never seen one reverse its polarity. You can charge them up backwards. You have to hook somthing up to them to run them completly down. Then hook the charger up reverse and it will bring it up backwards. So you need to run it completley dead then hook it + to + and - to - and charge it back up and it should be alright. My dad used to do this to batterys that were getting weak. He would run them down and charge them back up in reverse then run them down and charge the right way and for some reason they seemed to be stronger for a while. Why i dont know

What kind of battery charger are you using? I have had similar issues with the newer style electronically controlled battery chargers but I am not sure why.
In my case, I ended up using an old school (non electronically controlled-with an analog amp meter) charger and it worked. And of course, your results may vary! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
