aagitch,

This is the 1st one i built, Cant really tell in the picture but its bent a little like yours is.

The next one i built i tied the part that the lift links hook to all the way to the cross brace. I havent tried it yet but it seems like this would brace it pretty good.

Just wondering....would it be wise to put brass bushings on the "u" bracket where it attaches to the tractor?? Or would that be a waste of time (too soft, not really needed etc...?)

If i attach a tiller gear box to the rear of my 782, can i still attach a brinly adapter to the rear without pulling the gearbox? or does the brinly adapter attach where the tiller would mount to the gbox?

Brass bushing(s) are too soft.

You will have to add 2 1/2 to 3 inches to the sleeve hitch arms and upper link.

After you straighten it out, wht don't you Harden, then Temper it?
Simple prodcedure, you'll just need a wide pan and alot of oil to do the Hardening.

Default Last weekends project

The hitch pins were just for a quick functionality test. I will use bolts foractual work. I fabricated the eentire hitch out of scrap around the garage. The majority of construction is from angle iron. The liftbar is 3/4"x2" bar stock which is welded to the pin tube as well as to the front and rear angle iron looking forward to seeing how it holds up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
