As Roland correctly stated: not in the beginning from IH (1961 & 1962). However, in 1963, with introduction of the optional front PTO kit for the Original, AFAIK, it's possible you could have a rotary tiller on your Original. This optional kit was adapted from the Model 70/100 PTO, also being introduced in 1963, for installing the 38" 3-blade deck on an Original. The kit could be installed on any Original for retrofit purposes. So, it's kinda of a Yes & No answer....

Thank you very much for the info guys!!!! I really do appreciate it. By the way, was there any other brands besides Danco that made tillers for the Cub Cadet Original??? Meaning a different brand of tiller that used the PTO Belt to make the tines rotate instead of having an external engine to make it run. And can the optional kit still be found either used or new???

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
