center mount grader blade
I bought a center mount grader blade from a guy who said he had it mounted on a 125 and found it while cleaning out his garage. My question is, does anyone have any info on the center mount grader blades? It doesn't have any names or decals on it.

I'm sure someone will have info....maybe contact Myron Bounds. He has tons of info. He is a member here and a sponsor!!! Even if there isn't any identifying info ID, imagine there aren't to many that were manufactured for our cubs!!
Any chance on uploading some pictures? I have two brackets for my 70 that were mounted to the rear end that the only thing I could figure they were for was a center mount blade. I'll post some pictures later for you, have to leave now!! At any cost I'd say your a lucky man!!!The center mount blades are a bit rare I'd imagine! Good luck Jason

I have absolutely no idea if these would be used for a center mount, they are heavy duty!! 1/4 plate. I posted pics on all the cub forums and the best/only suggestion was for a center mount belly blade!! They just sit in the corner now!! Take care,Jason

That looks like the front of it mounts to the mule drive for the deck, with the rest of the deck carriage removed.

That blade mounts on the front where the mule drive mounts .
I saw one at a show that it mounted in front. They had the mule drive off. that looks like the one I saw. I didn't craw under to look at it because it was too wet. The ground was wet not the tractor. ole 147 |

I have one just like that one that I was trying to figure on useing,
but could never figure out how to mount it I thought I was going to have to mount it on the rear like a back blade, didn't have the pins at the front of the carriage. It's a heavy blade and thick dang thing weighs about 30 or 40#'s it's just like the one you have, painted red and no name or decals |

Just wondering would this work better if we would mount or hitch
the pins to the u-bracket below the hitch on the back of the tractor and push the blade instead of pulling it ?? |

You could, but the structure would have to be heavier because now you're trying to buckle the framework of the blade pushing on it instead of putting it in tension by pulling on it. There's actually a better reason, but I can't remember what it is...I was talked out of mounting it from the back when I made mine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
