After a little welding I was able to get a test run of the plow. While I didn't actually plow a garden I used the plow to help dig a ditch for a drainage pipe.

Here is the sleeve to 3 pt adaptor I made. Material for toplink attachment point is a little thinner than I would like. This was prebent scrap material from an old trailer. Was easy to install and I didn't need to bend anything. If it bends I will just add some more material.

Been raining most of the day so ground is a little wet but the plow was able to cut in. This is the same area i broke up with the subsoiler ripper.

Once the ground drys some I think I should be able to make a nice ditch for drainage pipe with the plow. Will have to make a pass then move the extra material to keep the tractor flat.

You won't bend your adapter. It's plenty heavy. You're not pulling a 3 bottom 16" plow.

On another note, this is a plow, not a ditcher. You can only go so deep. I don't know how deep you need to go for your drainage pipe, but if you get a 8" deep hole with it, that's all you're going to get. You can't just keep moving dirt and plowing deeper. It can only move dirt so deep, then the wing on the moldboard will hit the ground. Even if you make it two passes wide, then go deeper on the on the left side, it will only go so deep. Plus, looks like you are running it through a lot of gravel. That will wear, or break the point right off of the plow. Better just use it for plowing, not ditching in gravel or you won't have a good plow left. Rent a trencher, or use the subsoiler point and a shovel.... or a blade.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
