What's so hard to find as far as u-joints? Should be able to get those at napa? I'd like to hear more about that. I don't have one of those machines, but u-joints aren't something I have problems getting here at my shop. Y-Sam, if your having trouble, PM me and I'll help ya!

So does this appear to be a previous owner mod? I dont think they would have been made this way. The sprocket for the chain drive is welded directly to the auger. Any ideas?

Yes factory - I used a metal hole saw to remove mine and welded on a new sprocket - better for the new chain. Bob

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens.
