Default 782 Dual Hydraulics

Anyone thinking about going to dual hydraulics might want to take a look at this valve on epay.

I just installed one on mine and it works well. The lines fit just like the originals. I had to weld a small tab onto the mounting plate because of the extra width of the valve and filed the handle slot longer for the detent position. Also the price was right.

Yep! JD valves fit and are MUCH cheaper than IH ones. FWIW, you can also install a 3 spool JD valve and separate the center and rear lifts, or have a center lift and two auxiliary remotes.

I forgot to mention that if you intend to use the detent function, make sure you check it out before you install the valve. Mine was all rusty and yucky. I also unscrewed the detent stem and installed a washer .008" thick to reposition the notches created by wear, 1/2 way between the detent balls.

Is there such a thing as a 4 spool valve that will fit, center, rear & 2 separate port control.....? Or use 2 2 spool valves....?

Not like the original ones. But you can get stackable valves, or do like Rescue 11 and use splitter valves.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
