That sucks! So sorry!! We lost our beagle Bailey back in 2013. He was 14 and had bladder cancer. We had to have him put that sleep ( to much pain for him ) it was horrible. Then last year night before leaving for vacation we had to put our St. Benard Reaghan to sleep. Had a tumor near her heart, inoperable. So I know your pain and you have my sympathy. Here's a pic of our two pups a beagle named Booker and a beagle-rat terrier Bella.

Tim, I'm so sorry to hear about Lilly. I know how it feels as we just lost one of our dogs about 2 months ago. You gave her a great home for all of her life so I'm sure she will be waiting at the rainbow bridge with a tennis ball for you. It's tough to say goodbye to these little family members.

Sad to hear, Tim. Labs are tough to let go. I had one we got when I was 14, and he made it 16 years! Seeing him go was awful, but great dogs deserve their peace. Prayers for you, and glad there's another one with you so you can help each other cope.

Sad to hear Tim. Those old dogs are hard to loose. they become part of the family. I've had and lost several really good Labs... They are the best dogs a man could ever want!

So sorry Tim.
Tears and sniffles while I read through your post, brought back memories of my own as a doggy caretaker on their last day.. When we put down Gunner, I told Nancy that's it, never again. We have Ruger, and when he's gone, no more dogs, hurts to bad when that day comes. Two years later, I did it again by getting Colt (brown turd). I guess what I'm trying to say is the time you have with them, all the stupid things they do, the fun and love they bring to a family, priceless. So do your best to remember those times, and Lilly will be there in memory.
