Terrible day.
about nine years ago i got the best gift ever for my birthday, it was a little black lab puppy that i named Lilly. i remember going to pick her up like it was yesterday, it was cold and dark and there was about 6" of snow on the road but that didn't stop us from getting in this old crappy blazer i had and going to get her. there was 17 or 18 pups in her litter so it was tough to choose but she was the only one that wasn't trying to eat my shoe or peeing all over the floor and when i picked her up she looked at me and i knew she was the one, she grew up big and strong and always loved to sit on my lap even though she weighed close to 140lbs. about 4 yrs ago she started to have some health issue's and it's been down hill since then. i got a call from my wife today that she wasn't doing good, she passed before i could get home. i took her up to my parents place and found a nice spot for her by a small tree in the corner of the field, my other lab is sitting next to me as i type this and its hard to tell which one of us is more upset. here's a few pics from when i brought her home and when she was still healthy, thanks for taking the time to read this.

sorry to hear about Lilly ,Tim. Those big labs have a nice disposition and a lot of personality. I regret not planting my buddy with some kind of memorial or by a young tree, that was thoughtful. Now, whenever you see that tree you can go over there and say; hello ....one more time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
