Default Another Loboy

Sunday Im to go pick up a second 154, dont know much about it other than it has a deck and covers over the rear pto, neither of which I have on mine. Im hoping the clutch is intact because I need the rear pressure plate, Doesnt look to be in too bad of condition but it is missing the grill which is another item I need. Has the wide turfs on it, mine has narrow ags. Does not have the 3 pt but mine does. I went to look at it a few days ago and since its not currently running I left him with an offer of $150cad, he called today and said $200 so Im good with that... even if the motor is junk its worth that to me to have the deck. Ive been trying to find a decent deal on one of these ever since I got the first one 3 years ago or so.... HappyHappy

Pics on sunday

Great deal Lance. I just got my 154 and need that rear cover and grill too. That's some good money spent right there. Those little 4 bangers purr like a kitten.

Nah, Im just a cheap old Bas****

These old tractors can be hard to find up here and if they are advertised people often ask way too much. This one wasnt advertised, the owner called me looking for a riding mower, said he had a few tractors he could offer on trade so I went to see what he had. He never did buy a mower from me so I made him an offer on the 154. There is also a pair of MF1010s and one loader for them, and a kabota front mower with a 3cyl diesel, all in very rough condition. Kind of interested in the diesel engine tho.

Might have to wait a little longer, the guy sent a text this morning saying it will have to wait till tuesday. Hate it when somebody calls me and then strings me along, thats usually a sign they are gonna back out completely but I guess I'll find out on tuesday

Yep I know the feeling, I offer a guy some tips to fix his QL 1650 or buy it from him if he don't want to bother fixing it, he tell me he want to sell it, I give him me phone number and my E-Mail 2 weeks ago...No answer.

Now a friend got a old Citation 1900cc I/O cuddy boat in pristine condition with a 340hr 4.3LX engine, he ask 3K for it (trailer and bimini top include) Now I try to find out if he worth enough money to have some fun and flip it later.

Geeze dont buy a boat... thats a more expensive habit than garden tractors. Took me years to get over those d*** things, I finally settled with a nicely decked out camo canoe and an electric trolling motor.

Nice Dog!

My friend son want the boat so I'm happy with his decision even if we both know he will never get pay! LMAO

I got a diesel Jeep, a Casita 17' fiberglass camping trailer and a Esquif canoe. only missing was spare time to go fishing!

In two days your picking up the 154, in the mid time have a nice father day!

Thx, the dog is Bella, I sort of confiscated her from my daughter about 6 years ago... single mom at that time with two kids, two big dogs, two cats and other various critters.... and asking to borrow money, since you never seem to get loans back from your kids I said I would take the dog instead. She goes with me everywhere, fishing, hunting, shopping at BassPro, even comes to work. Looks a bit like a pitbull but she's a purebred Staffordshire terrier about 65 lbs, and very friendly, doesnt even bark at strangers pulling into the yard, neither of my dogs will, no watch dogs here, just big dumb happy pets... the other dog is 120 lb newfy cross named Ruger.

I'll be choked if this guy backs out on the Loboy after he was one that called me, but its all part of the tractor flippin business I guess, just sucks when your on a 'Wait and See' deal

Well it took awhile but the deal finally went through and I picked up my second Loboy today. Dont know if it will run or not but my biggest concern was the clutch, which seems to be in working order, and the deck which is in pretty decent condition although missing in the pics because I had to remove it to get the tractor in the trailer. Unfortunately it has the exact same grill as my other Loboy but other than that I should have everything to make it a working lawn mower.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
