Greetings from Akron, IN. Darn yellow fever! I got my 1st Cub in February, a 125. Then in April, my 1450 somehow found itself on my trailer and followed me home too. Two Cubs in 2 months!

Just rejoined.. maybe? Or joined. Its been a few years anyway. I was given a 128 from my late father in law 3 or 4 years ago as a gift and was mowing with it for a year or so after that. anyway! I've had it sitting in the shed for a few years never able to really restore it like I would want to, but I am in a place now I think I can finally start.

Which brings me to this question. Does anyone know of a trusting shop in the Indianapolis area that will work on Kohler engines? Mine smokes even on the warmest days so I would like to have it bored and dipped

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
