Default New Aluminun Plow

Picked this cool little plow up last night at work. I have never seen an all Aluminum plow before. It supposedly was taken off one of them 6 wheel ATV machines. The aluminum is 1/4" thick so it should be pretty tough. I need to find a wide frame plow a-frame and under carriage and I think that it will work on my 682. Get it polished up and it will look rather nice.

how heavy is it? Do you think it's going to have enough down force?

Gary the blade is maybe 25lbs. Not even worried about down pressure. The 682 has a provision for down pressure. I have to get a a-frame and under carriage for a wide frame first and see what it will involve to mount it up. If it means having to cobb and butch it up I won't do it.

John Shutte I have not measured it yet but am going to say it is 48" wide. It just fits inside my truck bed which is just a little over 48".

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
