I was getting ready to look up "fireplace mantle" as I am in the market for such, so after keying in "www.c.." and craigslist automatically appears, I clicked on the "For Sale" section to begin my search and then it automatically showed up along with cars, trucks, game stations,....kind of a hodge podge for things for sale.

I've always heard, "Don't buy the cow if you can get the milk for free.", but now they are charging for that!

That ad is irritating. There is a market for breast milk but my ad on CL for free mammograms didn't get one call.

an irritating thing on CL here lately is fake adds. Like $50,000 tractors or cars for $5000 and an email address of someone who knows nothing about the add.
I dont know if the poster picked an email at random or if they want to drive someone crazy that they know...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
