3205 axle bearings
Hello everyone. My 3205 started leaking oil from the right axle tube.
I tore it down to diagnose, went to Cub Cadet website to order parts, They say these parts are no longer available. Does anyone know where these bearings and seals can be found ? I thought i was sol so i bought a donor 3235 thinking they would have the same rear, wrong, doesn't match. Any help appreciated, Thanks |

Can't you just knock the needle bearing out and replace it? Bearings and seals can be bought from a bearing company, ordered online, or possibly even picked up from an auto part store. Should be part numbers on the bearing and seal, but if not search by size.

I'm in the process of doing my 3205 with lots of pics.
Here is a 3165 with the same setup as yours without the locking differential. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=33446 Here is the new number on the seals from Motion. I just had 6 shipped to my door for $32.08. https://www.motionindustries.com/pro...p?sku=02336089 The needle bearings are HK 3020. https://www.motionindustries.com/pro...p?sku=03240027

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
