Default Cub Cadet 70's preference sought
Going to be restoring a 70 soon. What style and size tires do you folks like to see on restored 70/100's?

I like 23x8.50-12 ags for the rear and 400x8 tri ribs for the front.

I’m a fan of 6-12 ags (70 only) on the back and skinny tri ribs on the front. However, I still like the rear old skool bfg mud tire 6-12s and even more so the diamond pattern turf rears

I'm restoring a 100 at this time and I was torn between the skinny and larger tires. But after I checked out Olds thread on his 100 restore I decided on the ags and tri ribs. To me, they give it a real tractor look.

With tires I'm more about function. I put on what I need for a particular tractor. As far as looks, in my opinion the 6-12's or 23X8.50-12's both look fine on a 100 if it has fenders. If no fenders, I think the 6-12's look better. But like Lew said.... it's preference.

It had the skinny BFG's and diamond pattern fronts on when I got it and by the looks of them they just may have been the originals. All in very bad shape and had tubes.
No fenders, yet however!!

I put skinny ags and tiny tri ribs on the last NF I restored.

I also really like the look of the diamond tread turf tires but they sure are pricey.

I really like the look of Tim's 100. I was thinking I might mimic it tire wise.
So when looking around I found these. Not sure if anyone has ever tried them here but I might try a pair at 36$ each

Makes you wonder how the new tariffs will affect the cost of tires for out Cubs, huh??
It's gonna be a while before I am ready for them though.
