Default Anyone local to NJ?

I live in the very northern parts of NJ, right on the NY State boarder and minutes from PA. Would really like to get a group of friends together and BS about these tractors. My knowledge right now on fixing them is rather low so getting "Tractor Support Group" together that is local would be really nice. Plus I was really hoping there would be some kind of gathering where folks from all over bring their tractors and talk smack about each others machines HAHAHA.

Sorry for the really slow reply but life has it's ways of pulling you in all kinds of directions. It might be great to meet up sometime. Have you been into Cubs for a long time and have much experience with them?

Edit:
Actually, I just looked at your sig when you post and it seems like you have quite the itch for this hobby

I live in Ohio, but Welcome to OCC!

This is The Place for all things Cub Cadet from the IH made Original though the current MTD made machines.

My Cadet is a 1976 vintage "QuietLine" model 800 with a model 38A mower deck.
I have the deck off the tractor right now for cleaning, checking the spindles, sharpening blades, etc. Bout all I have had to do over the years is fill gas, check oil, turn the key and mow.

Again, welcome. Put on the coffee, pull up a chair and stay awhile.

Regards

Cubby Guy

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
