So many younger people today only know how to work inside the box. If you throw them a problem that's outside the box, and forces them to think, they are screwed. They will sit there and stare at the problem and wait for the answer to magically appear.

I have one daughter that's exactly like that. She's a 4.0 student in high school.
We went to get a new battery for her car, was looking at tires, told her she would need new tires before winter. Said here's some that are $40 each. So she said "so that's $120"... um.. how many tires are you going to buy? "ohhhh, yeah, $160"

Now my second daughter is the opposite. She's in grade school and full of common sense. She was on the swings at school, some boy walked in front of her and she kicked him. Then while he's on the ground she's yelling at him "are you really so stupid that you would walk in front of the swingset?". In case you wondered, yes, they are now considering removing the swingset because they are too dangerous.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
