At least it didn't take the lineasiest and light kage with it! .

Got brand spanking new tires on my 149 last weekend. Then this Saturday I went to use it for the first time pushing snow with the new shoes... about a half hour in she started knocking something fierce. Shut it down and pushed it in the shed to get the engine out. Those balance gears had almost a half inch of wobble!

UPDATE #2

Got the ole girl patched up with just one Disc in the back. Had to use the best of the old ones to make up for the space. Pushed enough of the drive-way (baby'ed it along) so I can get in & out, and now just wait for the other disc to show up.

The weather guessers say more snow come Wed-Thu. We shall see.

Now, just to get warmed up. My fingers are numb.

I do that all the time, put stuff in a safe place. Yep it's safe, can't find it. Go buy another then find the first one.

Glad you got it going.

Good to hear you got it working to get what you needed done.

I too am guilty of putting certain spares in "safe spots".

Me and dad swear there is a good used muffler here for a 12hp Kohler. We spent an hour looking for it and still can't find it. Now I am wondering if it ever existed or if we already used it.

That's typical for most of us here.... breaking things when you need the most, pissing off, fix it and then git'er done!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
