2182 with a bad engine
Someone wants me to work on an 2182 that was ran out of engine oil.
Can the 600cc engine be rebuilt? Does Kubota have a rebuilt kit? Cost? Thanks for any help.

Yes it can.
Very expensive if going through Kubota. There is a dealer online (ebay) that sells kits. I don't know if they just decided to specialize or what, but they are a bit cheaper. IIRC, Kubota doesn't sell a "kit", you have to buy the parts individually. You can wrap up $2000+ in one if you're charging a decent labor rate.
