That's a very rare piece of equipment. With a rare piece, comes a higher price.

Did you buy it?

That looks to be like a bush hog? Does it have bush hog style blades that pivot? Pretty cool

That is a bargain for a Cub bush hog. Just ask JALLEN, he just sold one.

So, educate me please. Is this rotary cutter built by Bush Hog or are we using the term Bush Hog as a generic term? If not built by Bush Hog, by whom?

I believe it was built by bush hog. Same with the 2000 rpm tiller for the super garden tractors if I remember right. I built a 42" bush hog from a woods 42 rear mount and works flawlessly on the 982. Very hard to get the real deal

Sorry, I should have said Brush Cutter. I'm just used to calling them Bush Hogs. My Bad.

Get that thing! That's what you call an "investment". Even if you don't/can't get a rear PTO or 3pt for your machine, you will always be able to resell that deck.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
