Good Lord curious George I like your posts but you aren’t that old. Television and fm radio came out in the 1920s and 30’s.

Haha Actually I was 3yo when this cub was made. I'm a slow and easy guy anyway lol

I just fixed the air cleaner housing, it was flopping all around and one screw was in the air filter cover... I put it back in and now the air filter assembly isn't flopping around anymore, but I am missing a screw and that air filter... looks like it hasn't been replaced since 1973! lol

Tv sets didn't become popular till after the war a few years, ---1950, 2 years after Harry Truman beat Dewey in the election
Fm didn't become popular till the late 50's, and in vehicles in early 60's
I remember it well.
Snap, crackle & pop might have been a breakfast cereal, but it was the norm for AM radio and FM was not long distance, once you got 25 miles from town, you lost FM in a car, so you listened to AM.
It seems like yesterday, but was a lifetime ago.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
