In other words, a little up or down in a straight line, the deck would ride on the casters. But what happens when the tractor is on ground that is say, rolling downhill to the right, and before the tractor gets there the deck finds higher ground on the left. Will it want to dig in, or want to flip the tractor? I'd love to see a better video of the Wood deck in action to get some ideas.

Just throwin' out musings that amuse myself.
My guess (never seen one in person) would be that however it mounts to the front of the tractor it would have some float to it. That way it could stay parallel to the ground better. I would think it'd need some kind of rear casters as well to keep it level. However, I don't know how well it would handle attacking a hill or whatnot at a 45° angle.

Earl doesn't have time to show off his ultra-rare find I guess. I call BS since I see no pics of it, and I can only find record of a few being found.....

Here is the parts book so you guys can all see how it works:

No problem, glad to help. Congrats on the mower and sweeper, that sweeper makes that cub look tiny.

Thanks for getting those pics up guys!

I had no idea Woods even made mowers that old. Around early 80's is the first I ever head of Woods. Congratulations on a certainly rare find.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
