Default Ballpark value of a Kohler CH18s around 1000 hours

Just wondering, I have an extra one right now, and I'm not sure if I will sell it or keep it for when my current one on the 1864 gets tired. It's pretty clean looking, no wet oil leaks. Runs good, no smoke or noises.

$300-400. If you can let people hear it run.

If it were a 5 or 6 hundred hour engine I would agree with $300 to $400 but at 1000hrs it's probably more like a $200 to $300 engine.

There's one on craigslist near here for $475 with the PTO clutch, with 150 hours on it. I've been seeing it listed for a while now, that listing is 12 days old. Mine would have the PTO as well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
