Default Fair pics

It's that time of year, the first week of school and the local fair. I wasn't planning to take any Cub's but I was mowing last night and decided the 1211 needed to go to it's first show, there were only two other Cub's, a decent looking 582 and a 1200 that looks pretty original. That's my son David sitting on my 108, he will be 7 next month and just started 1st grade last week. Here's some pics of what's on display.

More pics. There were two JD 214's in the first pic that look pretty nice.

Good looking Cadets! First grade, let the fun begin!
What's the story on the high crop IH tractor? A collector bring it in or is it original to the area? Other than a handful of Super A's and 140's, all the high crops here are "imports".

Not sure, that tractor has been on display the last couple years.

From one of the pictures it looks a tad on the hilly side to actually use something like that. We get a few "orchard" tractors brought in here as well. I'd love to see your shop do an IH O-4--massive amounts of sheet metal on those.
So being a fair do they do any judging of the old iron or is it just display and have fun?

Just display, they also had an antique tractor pull yesterday followed by modified farm tractors. Later in the week will be stock trucks, modified trucks, stock semi, modified semi, tri axle dump, limited pro stock tractors and smoker series tractors. We take are pulling serious around here.

It's at home. The tractors will be sitting up there until Sunday and there is absolutely nothing to stop someone from loading up whatever tractor they want and leaving, tractors are constantly coming and going all week and nobody monitors it so I'm hesitant to take a tractor up that just can't be replaced.

Looks great as always Tim!
You would think they would have the fair before school started.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
