I mean, I get it, but it depends on if he's wanting to keep the scowling/dash. Cuz hydraulics will mount up diff.

It would be hard to take a tractor with tilt wheel and make it stiff..

Hydraulic valves mount up different, but the lines can be changed. Can still have dual or even triple on the column. You know that.

I think the 82 dash could easily be modified wit tilt wheel..... but honestly I don't think it's a big deal, the tilt. I fit comfortably on an 82 without it. I've driven the 1864's, and pretty much had the wheel where it would be on an 82. But that's just my preference.

Here is what you will end up with if you install a 82 series dash, hood side panels and grill on your 1782. It would require going to a solid steering column
and different hyd valves. This is a 1872 I built and used the cyclops rear fenders and fuel tank on. As Jon stated the frames will interchange so the 82 series sheet metal and dash tower will bolt on your frame. When I built mine I looked into installing the cyclops dash and tilt steering but just did not have enough room for the triple hyd valve set up I used so I went with the solid column. Some day I may revisit it.

Tom, I referenced your build thread quite a bit before posting. I figured they were the same before Jon’s/your response but wasn’t 100 percent sure as you converted old rear end to new and I’m wanting to do new front to old. Should have dawned on me that if one worked the other will too.
