Default 127 freebie

Brought this one home yesterday but took a few more pics today, its complete but will need alot of work. Hopefully it wont be a long project like the 126 was since I now have a few NF parts in stock... such as a deck and lift mech, clutch disc for the pto, even a spare engine and start/gen if I need them.

Its turns over by hand and has compression, has some major leaks on the rear axle, the push blade has had some welding repairs in the past, seat pan/rear fenders are pretty beat up but repairable.... looks worse than it is I think so Im hoping for another fun and interesting NF project.

Congrats on the free tractor. I've always been curious how well chains on the front tires works.

Congrats on the cyclops.

NF tractors are fun. They are my favorite. It'll be a fun project

Nice find Lance! Lots of possibilities as it is a pretty straight tractor!

LOL... Ya I'll be fixin that Cyclops effect right quick.... thats ugly... although I think the 126 looked even worse when I dragged it home and I did quite well with it. Would have liked to hang on to that one, and I had it priced high but.... next guy wanted it more than me

I'll probably want to keep the 127 also but any of these old 70s/80s tractors sell for good money around here if they are in good working order, they dont have to look great... just be 'ready to run'.

Looks like it'll be a good'n Lance.

It worked for a living, that's what they're for. It is just showing its battle scars.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
