Thanks a lot guys!

My next project will be repainting my 100 come springtime. It won't be as thorough of a repaint since it will go back factory colors. My plan is to have it done in time to plow snow with it next winter.

I’m back on this project again. Finally going to finish my wheel weights. Today, I notched them to clear the valve stem and attached the dummy axles I machined several years ago. They’ll be painted red with the axle stubs black and I’m going to paint black “cutouts” to make them look like IH cast wheel centers.

Cool! Love the look of the IH cast wheels hubs. How about taking the weights to a machine shop and have a relief of the cutouts done? With dummy bolts around the perimeter!

Thanks guys.

I’m adding dummy bolts around the perimeter and I also added the wheel weight mounting holes to my wheel weights. They’re the 4 tapped holes near the center.

Got the holes added to the other weight and found this drawing a friend made for me years ago. He measured a wheel on his 1466 and scaled it down. That will take a lot of the guesswork out of it.

Garydee, thanks for the compliments.

Today, I designed some scale wheel weights to attach to my wheels weights. They’ll be 1/2” thick steel for additional weight.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
