Default 1450 info

I have an international 450 (at least I believe it is, very hard to read the number) but I do not see cub cadet anywhere on the machine. the ser number on tractor frame is 2050066u539230. I'm just trying to figure if it is cub or not and where I can get info on it. any help is appreciated.

Looks like a quiet line series. It’s a 1450. Hydro drive 14 hp. Technical library has all the manuals you need as well as Delta Cub being the “Queen of the quiet lines” to help you out.

Also fellow Albertian member Lanceskene I think has a 1450 too.

International 450? Does it come with the fast hitch?

I also agree it's probably a 1450. Welcome to the forum.

Default 450

Lance , where are you located? I'm 60 miles west of Edmonton.. My 450 just has an international side sticker. nothing about cub cadet. and the 450 is just barely visible on one side of the dash cowling. plus I'm just new back here but was on awhile ago as I still have a 106 and three other cubs and most attachments.

I'm 30 minutes NE of Calgary. I don't believe there ever was a 450 Cub Cadet. There was an International 450, but that was a full size tractor in the late 50's.

That's because Cub never made a 450, it almost has to be a 1450. Does it look like the pics that Lance posted?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
