I think you’ve had too many Labatts my good man. You have a 1450, it is proven in the kind code and serial number

Default 1450

I took a digital picture of the model number and you can see a 1 in front of the 450 , so you folks were very correct, it's a 1450 international. which will make finding info easier , I hope.

I'm guessing that the Quiet Line series was one of IH's most produced model given all the different options. There is quite a following of this series, so information is plentiful Also, nearly every problem or hiccup has already been acknowledged, and ironed out to perfection, or some degree.

Links worked fine for me just now

Thats a pretty typical looking QL(quiet line) for this neigborhood, and there is quite a few Cub fans in the area, at least 4 albertians on the forum that I know of, and several more that arent on the forum.

Do you have the side engine covers? Those are usually missing, I had to get a pair sent up from the US. Rusty front wheels... again pretty common.

I see 1 or 2 QLs every year, pick them up if the price is right and flip them, and they usually sell quick.

I dont have much for parts right now but if you need anything let us know

Default 1450 info

thank you. I have the 1450 running but it's not the best, figure it needs a carb kit, unfortunately the silver decal with motor serial number is worn off. so hope my parts guys can match a kit from the tractor serial number.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
