Default Can anyone ID the snowthrower?

https://newhaven.craigslist.org/tls/...390167701.html

I'm waiting for a reply from the seller. But in the meantime I figured I'd ask the pros. It says a wide frame snowblower.

Looks like it is either a QA-36 or QA-42, which are for narrow frames. They do not adjust, so they will not fit a wide frame.

All I see is that sickle in the back ground! I'd be after that!

It takes me forever to weed whip our 1/4 mile driveway in the fall to keep the snow drifts from forming during the winter.

Yes I saw that, I do believe it is not for a Cub Cadet though.

That picture posted on Craigslist does not show a wideframe mount. The Snowblower is definitely a QA-36, but it is not the later adjustable QA-36A model. Measure it before you buy it if you need to use it on a wide frame.

The wide frame mount is adjustable to allow it to be mounted on either a narrow and wide frame. The wide frame is 14 inches from side to side, as compared to the narrow frame, which was 11 inches wide.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
