While I appreciate that you have bought from that seller, and the description says it will work..... they are still incorrect. If I must I will post pics of the parts books and the boxes that I currently have apart. I am quite certain. Also, no links posted so I can't see what ad you are referring to. The CW box uses four sealed bearings of the same thickness with no oil seals. The QA box uses two sealed bearings and two open bearings with two seals. The sealed and non sealed bearings in the QA box are different thicknesses. You cannot use the thinner bearing in the CW box unless you want to add shims as the shaft will have no way to "stay put" and move in and out of the bearings thus moving the gears apart inside and stopping all movement. |

Ok.....
What are we agreeing to disagree on? That you have a CW thrower with the incorrect gear box? Or that the parts book for the CW thrower is incorrect? Here's the pic from the book for a CW gear box: Reference #12 is the bearing: 475-627-R91 CW36.jpg Here is the gearbox for a QA36A/42A thrower: Reference #16 for the bearing lists an inner and an outer bearing with separate part numbers. Inner: 475-627-R91 Outer: 475-628-R91 Note, there is no seal. QA36-42.jpg Then, we come to the QA36AQ/42A: Reference #10, Inner Bearing: 475-628-R91 Reference #9, Outer bearing: 475-627-R91 Reference #12, Seal: 485-306-R1 QA36A-42A.gif Please note: The sealed bearing is the same in ALL THREE gear boxes, except that the CW box contains four of them instead of just two like the other throwers. The gear boxes for the CC and BB throwers are the same as the CW. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
