Default Fuel pressure spec..

Ok guys I picked up a fuel pump from the local parts house. It specs at 4-10 psi. Would I be correct in thinking this pressure is too low for the d600? I looked in the service manual and it says 5689 to 4978 psi. That should be the pressure coming out of the injection pump. Assuming my pumps pressure is too low what should the pressure be coming out of the pump? I'm seriously thinking that this is the issue as the engine will fire and run by pouring a small amount of fuel in the intake. Once it fires up, it runs great so it has to be a pump pressure problem, correct?

No, that pressure is fine/correct.

What would cause it to struggle to start and only fire after fuel is introduced into the intake?

~Low cranking speed (multiple causes)
~Low compression (multiple causes)
~Worn/slobbering injectors
~Worn injection pump
~Poor glow plug "action"
~Timing
~Fuel condition
~Air inlet restriction
~Restricted exhaust
~Worn camshaft
~Incorrect valve lash setting

I'm sure I could come up with more......

So I was playing around with it today and fired it up again. I had it running for A few minutes and what I noticed was the #1 injector has fuel foaming out around where it mates with the head. Do I need to consider replacing the injectors? Also where can I find the throttle cables? These are toast..

i dont have any experience with the kubota diesels but every other diesel ive worked on had seals where the injector meets the block, id advise that if your going to replace one seal that you should replace them all. if your going to have the injectors out it might be good to price having them rebuilt or replaced.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
