Xtreme Hub Adaptors
http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Part...20Featured.htm
Anybody try these hub adaptors from Xtreme yet? (XMW PN# CC-52-011) I am looking at the 4 on 4 adaptors for the 1" axle. I have a load of 4 on 4 golf cart rims and tires that are the same size tire on the Supers. In the past I have always found Xtreme stuff well made. These adaptors look like they may be modified trailer hubs.

What model tractor and what size wheels are you using? Did it change the stance of the tractor? Was curious about the quality of the bearings they use, I use the tractor with a heavy 450 blower.

Other than going to a bolt on rim, I see no advantage whatsoever. Still using the same style of bearing as the original hub. Still a 1" axle. Not going to carry the blower any better than the original wheels, other than they might be a little bigger diameter.

Aaron sent me some pics of the 5 lug version a while ago. They look pretty stout to me.

I've been toying with the idea myself. If you have the rims and tires, why not?
Didn't know of xtreme until I picked up my 1st Cub, a CCC 1641. http://www.mfgsupply.com/gomini/gominihubs/100h-w1.html

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered a set of hubs from Xtreme today, I will see how they work out. I wasn't questioning if they would carry more weight than the stock hubs, I just was asking if the bearings were at least as good as the OEM items. I am counting on the fact that Xtreme has always turned out a quality product. I also will check to see how close the these are to the aftermarket trailer hubs and if they will hold the flange style bearing used in the factory hubs.

I believe they use the stock cub wheel bearings. not sure how they could be stronger, I guess they might not bend like a stock rim could.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
