Just a little fun & a slip back in time to a corny tv show mixed in with a little bit of " uncle sam's misguided children's" humor but had to keep it rated g because of Fisher & Abby are here! Darn that hurt!

Sam , i'm not sure what your parts pile looks like (retirement home for old tractors ) but possibly grab a hood , grill & dash from some other cub , or fab it all your self !

Got the new engine today and swapped over the parts from the other engine. Latest plan is to put the new engine in Black Jack #1 and set it up with a deck and give that to my daughter and then finish up this other mess. I'll swap the hood, hood support and fenders so I don't have to repaint the whole thing. One thing I like is that the new engine does not have a shut down solenoid. Makes the wiring easy.

Got the engine swap all done. It fired up as soon as it got gas to the carb. Nice running engine. Oil pressure is a bit higher than the other engine. Guess the other one is worn just a tad. LOL

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
