As Doc said, Finger Lakes region of NY is behind. I have pictures from 3 years ago of some corn on the farm higher than my brothers upstretched arm as he was standing on July 4th. My brothers have some corn planted first of May at the knee right now but fields are not even due to rain. Some local dairy guys were still trying to get corn in the ground last weekend. The trifecta of punishment for a farmer is a late wet spring, super hot scorcher of a summer, and an early frost. Here's for hoping it ain't that bad this year!

Here in Georgia you better be eating it by the 4th of July. I've seen a bunch of it in gardens driving down the road that has been tasseling. I didn't get to plant any this year...maybe next year.

Typically we are tasseling just after the 4th. This year the colder wet Spring and then the hot dry June has played hell with everything. Corn here is about 15 days at least behind, but luckily we had a few small rains last week and 1 1/4" this morning. Talking like more on the way.

Good April. Cool/Cold may. Lotsa rain. Anything people had planted likely flooded. Replanted early June. Not much rain since. It's been crappy for farming around here this year. (not to mention my yard needs H2O.....)

My part of NE WI, anywhere from 6" to 10", with a lot of it under water, or mudded out from the last few weeks of rain. And the future guess cast don't look like any relief in sight.
