My Dad's 4 year old Kubota, L3800 runs and looks great. It has 24 hours on the clock, time to trade it in.

I can't argue with the number of hours on the tractor as it only takes so long to cut 1.5 acres of grass. But I get it, time will tell. Well I'm off to adding some more hours on my shitty-less than older style Cub. I think I'll have a beer or two in the process. Lol

If you only put 6 hours on a tractor a year, why would you even own one? Does your dad have more money than sense?

I won't sidetrack this thread any more, last comment. Dad always had junky older tractors. So he went and treated himself to something nice. When he passed away Feb. 2016 I thought about getting rid of it. But I still need something to help maintain the place (40 acres) for mom. After all it's paid for and not eating anything.

I bought an XT3 earlier this year. Just did the 100hr service, mowed my property and towed it over to mow my dad's all year. I have nothing bad to say about it, maintenance is easy and the Kohler Command Pro runs great. I have wheel weights on it and just bought the sleeve hitch, snow blade & box scraper. Will it still be running 20 years from now? Who knows, but at $4k it was easier on my wallet than a BX.

I own an XT3 GSX I purchased this past spring with a dealer installed sleeve hitch and 48 fab deck. In short, I love the machine. Plenty of powere, tight tiurninh radius, heavy feel to it and the differential lock is great for my steep hills . I've used my box scraper and chisel plow and the tractor handles both with ease. For the price point compared to JD, it's a no-brainer. JD is too expensive for the features offered. No problems with it thus far, just up and go. Look up some of my earlier posts. There's some stuff on youtube too.
