Any go pro experts out there. I just got a hero 5 black and I can't get it to work. Any help appreciated as I spent 52 min on phone waiting for help.

I have gotten it to work. The one thing I can't figure out is how to use it with an external power cord in the car. When I connect to the cord the camera goes off and all I get is a USB symbol on the screen. I have now spent a total of over 160 minutes on hold trying to get support. Their customer service is very bad. I am considering returning it.

Sometimes when the USB symbol comes on, it is indicating that you need to plug it into a USB port for a power source. If your vehicle doesn't have one built in, then you might need a USB that plugs into your cigarettes lighter. I have one of them in my car and they are not expensive and work well.
