Default 129 deck and PTO belt size?

This 129 that I recently "drug home" is going to need a new spindle belt and the PTO belt. The deck tag says 483-U1111, it has the cast nose piece and measures 47 1/2 blade tip to blade tip. So, I guess it's a 48 inch deck but I can't find any info on it. Would the belts be the same as other 48 inch decks that are listed?
If anybody knows the length and width, I will check TSC and see if they have them.

The information you are looking for is located in the Technical Library for Implements, specifically CPE-2B.

Spindle Belt: IH-489399-R1 (1/2" x 80)

PTO Belt: IH-490489-R2 (3/8" x 80)

Thank you very much Roland, I really appreciate it. I just went to CPE-2B that you referenced, maybe next time I can find it without having to ask. Ray

Default update on the 129

I bought a couple belts today, however TSC didn't have a 3/8 X 80 so I bought two 1/2 X 80. The one for the spindles is a perfect fit. The one for the PTO didn't work. You would think it would be too tight but actually it was a couple inches too long. I took it back and got a 1/2 X 78 and it fit perfectly.

I tried the deck out, it and the PTO worked good, needs new blades though. I had replaced the idler pulley and greased the spindles earlier.

There seems to be no hydro or oil leaks so I put it back together and will use it as is for awhile. I rebuilt the carb., new points and plug, air filter, changed oil, etc.

One thing I did notice, when I touched the S/G quite awhile after I shut it down, it was still pretty hot. Is this a common thing or should I pull it off and check it out? -Ray

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
