Twoton,

Sent a PM. If you need a deck and that one doesnt work out, I have two to choose from that will fit, and reasonably priced.

As a fellow 1650 owner, welcome to the fold. Time to start hoarding gas tanks, mufflers, and isolators (or hard mount... dealer's choice)!

I can tell you $250 for a 50C or A is WAY too much... Forget that CL ad. The mule drive would be for the wrong belt too (but may actually function).

FWIW, I have 2 very nice 50As, both with the smaller/late model "speed up" pulley installed, and I paid $100/ea. One was locally from CL, another from an eBay seller that delivered it 200 miles for me for free (sort of a long story, but that guy wheels and deals on stuff all the time and is cool. Out of respect for our vendors I will insist you PM me for the name if you want it... he would Fastenal ship if you asked but I can't see that working out with like 1,000 mile distance) and I skinned him an extra $40 for him and his boy to hit the local steak joint while they were in town for being good sports.

Last mule drive/deck carrier combo I bought (2011?) was $28 shipped (eBay, same guy). Last mule drive alone was $18 shipped (random seller). To me, that puts the *top* of the going rate for that setup at $170 *IF* it had the right pulleys. I don't know Yeeter from Adam, but if you want a deck I'd probably hit him up or offer the CL guy a c-note flat for the entire setup, which will probably get you hung up on.

FWIW, with the right pulleys, you'll want a 77" belt. Cub dealer sold me something absurdly too long (like an 80") based on my serial #. Totally didn't work without 4" of J bolt sticking out of the mule drive. I've been using Oregon Kevlar/Aramid belts with no complaints.

Yeah, and $450 is probably to much for this too;

Don't think anyone actually pays the asking price for stuff on CL. Problem is I'm not much of a beater.

I can't comment on the value of the rake, but nice decks shouldn't be that hard/expensive to find. Some people think loose, and common, implements are made of gold for whatever reason.

Here's an entire 1x9 with a 42" deck, new ags, and a snow thrower for $750 (not sure how far from you it is). That's not a bad deal at all. Sell off what you don't want and probably get the deck for "free".

twoton: That's more than it sold for new ! I have a older one with narrower tines but only paid $100 for a couple years ago. The ones I've seen around here have been going for around $200 to $250.

Default Plow

More pics of the ram mounting configuration on the plows would be very welcome. Want to pick up a ram for my 1541 so my lazy old bones does not have to climb off the machine to turn the blade. Anyone know where to get a ram without having to get a bank loan?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
