Default Another mans SGT.

Is it a sin to ride another man SGT? I bought a broken 2072 a few weeks ago and gave it to my brother in law. We repowered it last week with 2206 for the donor. Things worked out just fine and I spent a hour last night mowing with it at his clubhouse. I wish I kept it, but what is done is done.

"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors SGT". Commandment number 7 I think so yes it's a sin.

If you left SGT out of your first sentence , many churches feel that particular act is indeed a sin.

But, since you typed SGT, no that is not. Kind of a strange question, but none the less people do it every day and I am sure they get to heaven

Riding another's SGT, may or may not be a sin, not sure. BUT giving it away, yeah I think so.

I'm with Todd! If your BIL put all the $$$ in and bought you for the help, your still allowed to ride. If you put in $$ and work, its your tractor.

Sounds to me like you need a SGT of your own. I think there are a couple on here in the for sale section. By the way, nobody is content with just one SGT, at least I wasn't.

I do have a 1872. The motor was broken and I put a used M18 in it. The motor smokes and surges. I'm looking to repower it, so I learned what to do on my BIL's 2072. And yes I want more SGT's.

There-in lies where the problems start...

It seems no man is content with just the one SGT they are riding.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
