Default I met a forum member tonight

Hey all. I got together with a fellow forum member this evening for a little Cub talk and some good eats graciously prepared by his wife. Member Jfinney lives about 25 minutes from me. He was nice enough to let me drive his 1960 Farmall Cub, that was very cool. I was amazed at how quiet it is compared to my 105. Any other members in North eastern PA? Well anyway, thanks Jay for a great evening, hope we can tinker with the Cubs next time.:biggrin2.gif:

Yeah, I had a great time. Only problem is now I have been looking at CL and epay for a Farmall Cub. That thing is cool. Jay also has a 149 and a 73. I have to catch up, I only have the 105.

The F Cub will have to wait till I get some property as I use a pushmower to mow my postage stamp size yard. I will not sell the deck for my Cub though, because I know someday I will need it.

MountainHeritage,
Thanks, that's a picture of my 5 year old son and our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy...she was only 10 wks old in that picture. She's tripled in size since then and it's only been 2.5 months! Jason

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
