Default Webpage design

Is it me or does anybody else find the page header a bit overwhelming? The thing takes up almost all of the web browser and I have to keep scrolling down to get to the forum.

Geez, you have been a members only for a few hours and you have already lodged a bitch.

OCC has been around for 10+ yrs and you are the only one out of 12,000+ members, that has ever complained about our Web Page design. I think that is a Guinness Record.

I can't wait to see what other faults you find.

You must be the designer. Just my opinion. Nice Tractor an all, but I don't want to see it every time I refresh the webpage or navigate. It's sort of wasted time.

Not going to change the Web Page. Now, you have a choice.

Well this forum is one hell of a lot better than the the rest of the web world I see.
We welcome you here but if you find that this "church" is not to your liking, possibly another forum out there would be more in line with what you want.
But your welcome to lurk & learn.
Or you could always design a perfect one and present it to our monitors.
Have a great day!

FWIW, the picture changes from time to time, so the scenery is not always the same. That split second to scroll past it is nothing compared to the time spent reading here, at least for me. I'm here for the content and the knowledge of the membership.

Hard to imagine that nanosecond it takes to scroll past that header pic wastes that much of your time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
