I'm confused, its only "rare as hen's teeth" now. It is listed as NOS, yet described as used in excellent condition. Starting to think maybe its the seller that's confused and not me. Anyway, I won't be bidding on it. If I had that kind of eye candy on my mower I'd stare at it too much and then be in need of a NOS hood and grill after I smacked a tree.

They offered me $20 each for the seven that I have. That's less for seven than they want for one. 800% mark up not bad.

Okay, all of my SGT's are missing that decal. So, by the looks of them, they go on the outside of the cap? All the other caps have the decal on the inside I think, correct?

Who is that seller? They always have a bunch of pretty nice stuff for sale.

I'm not sure, but I've purchased from them before when their prices weren't outrageous. They do have a lot of nice/rare things for sale.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
