If I had a front loader, i would definitely want a foot pedal for the hydro. I drove a Simplicity regent or higher model number and let me tell you have well this tractor felt with the foot pedal for hydro. The thing felt like a Cadillac of mowers(even though it's not as tough as the IH Cub') but I give credit where credits due.

That is where I like the ideal of foot pedal hydro. So if I have an attachment like a front loader I can control rather "juggle" the controls with the steering wheel.

I haven't started on any mods to this yet but still planning.

Yes I agree if it were for a tram peddle, forward reverse.

He said he wanted one like the ones pictured., Me knowing they were gear drives and knowing that is was a throttle peddle, wouldn't be something that would work well on a hydro.

My Bolens has a tram peddle. and for mowing the book recommends 3600 rpm's { wide open } for quality cut.

I would love to have foot control for my 125. I have a JD X320 with the pedals for controlling motion and it's great. I did find this on another Cub site showing a foot controlled set up.

Sorry, it took me so long to get back to you. I found that set up here: http://www.ihcubcadet.com/cgi-bin/discus/discus.pl

I can't remember where. Do a search on the site and you should come up with some hits. Unfortunately the site separate their topics - it's just random posting by dates.

Hey!
I asked about this months ago, all I got was static.
I have a 147 with a F E loader and I don't have enough hands to operate it.
A foot control would be great...
Any help would be great! :biggrin2.gif:

Just so you won't feel like your getting anymore static. I have a Ford garden tractor with a foot pedal forward/reverse for the hydro unit but of course it still has a drive belt from the engine.I'll see if I can send any pic that may give you some ideas.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
