Stuff like that always comes up when I have no cub funds!!!! That would make a dang nice rig to take to shows. I bet an 8hp in a quiet line is actually quiet!

I messaged the seller but my message didnt conform to their policy so I finally got it to go and about 30 mins later i went back to check on it and it said the item is no longer available putting my phone number in the message is why it was rejected so i spelled it out and it sent but ebay sent me warning about my message i also told the guy that i was serious about buying it and more or less agreed to the price and to come and get it and then the ads taken down dont know whats going on i guess il send him another message and see if it really sold i have been a long time ebay member but their policy about contacting a seller is boguus:beatdeadhorse : you try to be straight forward with someone and ebay makes it impossible. sorry about going off on a tangent but I am still trying to make a deal on this :B lahBlah:

I shop ebay.... but I'd never list a whole tractor on it. C-list is pretty good. Much better luck with it.

Hope he contacts you back. Maybe he's having trouble sending messages too......

According to the message I got at the top of the listing, it says the listing has ended by the seller because the item is no longer available. He put on there "Make Offer" and I would imagine that someone made the right offer to him. Well, I hope someone got it who will appreciate it and not someone who is going to part it out.

That's what we do on this forum, we try to help each other out. You will do the same for other members, too! It sounds like you really would like to have that 800 cub and I certainly hope things work out for you with it. Keep in mind that Ebay is a business and they don't want someone using their forum to deal on the side and cut them out of their $$$. It is easy to get frustrated when things don't always go the way you want them to go, but first seek understanding in all matters. If it doesn't happen, then it just wasn't meant to be and a better deal is just around the corner for you somewhere. If you REALLY want it and you contact the seller and he says it sold, then you can always contact the NEW owner and ask him/her if they would like to make a little money on their newest purchase. Then offer a little more than they paid. Just know your limits and don't get irregular with the price. If the 800 has the correct muffler, muffler shield, starter, carb, air cleaner, engine and tags, then his asking price of $850 is about tops for it in that condition IMHO. Of course, it is truly worth whatever you are willing to give for it!

Good play Riley.....and keep in mind that if a family member wanted it, then it worked out just as it was meant to be. You just never know how these things might work out.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
