You're right, but you could be...more right?

There is a set of adapters that you need to help account for the taller stance, along with adjusting holes on the links as you mentioned. Xtreme makes and sells the adapters, so while they are NLA from Cub, they are available through the aftermarket

Here is the link that is on the blower, no extra holes and about 2" too short according to the parts list. These are also NLA, I guess I could use a set of 3 point bars and cut off what I don't need. Any other suggestions?

I have a 450 and 451 at home. I better check mine when I get home. If I have an extra long set I will trade you as the 450 is on the 1811 that's going to my cousin.

It sounds like Shrewcub can fix you up.....

But FWIW, that is an easy part to make with a piece of steel and a drill. It doesn't need the "floating" hole on the one end. The lift on the tractor will float. Kind of like the blades that have the "floating" bracket on them. It isn't necessary. Besides, it seems like the 450/451's never lift high enough. I think I'd just wait. You may like the extra lift height.

OK I checked the links on both blowers. As you can see my 451 has 3 sets of holes and the 450 has 1 extra but you will lose the extra float. Which shouldn't hurt anything as long as the rockshaft on the tractor hasn't been setup for down pressure.

If you want to send me yours, I will send you the white ones with the brackets.

I'm looking at a couple od blowers this weekend, I may be able to pick up the correct unit for my tractor and sell the old one. I had a guy contact me with a 451 and a 450 for sale, may have solved my own problem.

Let me know how it goes. I have no use for the extra holes on the white one as its on a GT. If you need them, let me know.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
