Default Need your vote. 2284 or 2072

Okay I'm torn between two SGT's and don't know which to pick. If you had a choice the 2284, 858hrs with no apparent issues or a 2072 with a 400hr, ch20 repower. I do have a 1872 and 2- 1811's. So I was leaning towards the 2072. Just for the sake of most same parts and wiring. And yes it seems we must have more than one SGT.

I voted for 2284. My main reason was the 60" Haban is hard on the tractor. It is also hard on your back. Prices would help too. If they were close to the same price then I would lean more to the 2284. If the price was right on the older Cub, I would get it and replace the mower deck with a 50c.

2072 all the way. I have a strong dislike for the plastic front ends on them.

I'd keep the 2072 personally, both are nice however. If you decide to part with one of them shoot me a PM. You beat me to that 2284.

Personally I'd go for the 2284, yeah I know the rest will go for the 2072.

I'd go 2072. Those Haban's are a grass eating machine. Never been on one of those one eyed machines, so basing my vote on how much I like my 1872...

Ok..... so I'm confused.

You only want to keep one or the other?
Or the 2072 needs work, or what?
Do you even own the 2072?
Because you just bought the 2284.... like literally just bought it, and now want a poll on whether to keep it?? Why the heck did you buy it if you don't even know if you want it?

I'm not voting. I don't care what you choose, I think it's silly you're asking us what you should do with the tractor you just brought home yesterday.

2284 because of the GT deck.

Or, if you already own both, put the lowest hr engine in the 2072 and the GT deck on the 2072 & sell the 2284 with the 60.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
