Default Any audiophiles here?

Just got to thinking of all the random "Do we have any <insert hobby here> fans?" threads, I've never seen one asking if we have any speaker heads here. So, does anyone get into home audio (or car audio) as another hobby?

It used to be a bigger hobby of mine but life took over. I've recently started looking into it again and I'm getting bit by the bug. Right now I've got a Yamaha RX-V1600, an entire Mirage FRX surround (FRX-7 in the front, FRX-C in the center, and FRX-Surrounds in the back) along with both a Mirage LF-150 and Fluance DB-150 Sub for that sweet, sweet bass. I'm kinda eyeing either a pair of Klipsch Reference towers my buddy has or a pair of Mirage OM-7's that are about 2 hours away. But, that's money I don't need to spend

Anyone else care to share?

I use to have a kenwood rack system with 15" subs that would blow the paneling off the walls, got rid of it because the speakers took up too much room.

You've got an audiophile right here! Like you, I'm kind of in-between some systems right now. I used to have a full 10-speaker Infinity system in an old truck of mine. I had about 4000 watts of power available to me, but didn't use it all. It was for quality, not quantity. I'm working on putting together a new system for my current car now that it's out of warranty.

For my home audio, I'm running an Onkyo receiver with a partial Klipsch speaker package. I've got the Gallery G-28 speakers up front with dual 10" Klipsch subs.

How much are you into streaming audio? I recently got a subscription to Tidal Hifi and MAN does it sound good.

If you swap to Klipsch towers or the Mirage OMs, make sure you swap everything else out to match. You don't want to mix brands/series. They are designed to work together, so you'll get the best sound out of a matching speaker package.

I would be, but can't hear too well from all the concerts, NASCAR races, and pulls. I wish I had taken some pics at my ham buddy Ross' house. He built his own cabinets, tube amp, and plinth for his turntable. He has acoustic panels on the walls too. It sounded great to me!

I used to be big into car audio when I was a teen. Just recent started looking back into it. Wanting to add just a little more thump to the boss system in my ss Silverado (factory six inch just isn't grabbing what I like to hear)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
